Responsibilities

Assist in designing physical substation components such as yard layouts, grounding, and control building arrangements

Support the development of protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams

Help prepare design drawings, calculations, and bills of material

Learn and apply engineering standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI

Participate in quality reviews and collaborate with engineers to refine designs

Maintain project documentation and assist with engineering calculations

Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

Interest in learning about substation components and design principles

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a dynamic environment

Preferred

Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering software is a plus
