Axiom Space is collaborating with Astrolab, Inc. to develop a Lunar Terrain Vehicle for future Artemis missions. The Principal Operations Engineer will support LTV hardware teams, define operational procedures, and conduct design audits to ensure effective EVA operations for NASA's LTV Services contract.

Responsibilities

Supporting LTV hardware teams in evaluating EVA crew interface designs with operational inputs
Defining and maintaining LTV EVA concept of operations, crew training plans and procedures
Conducting LTV hardware design audits, Human In The Loop (HITL) testing and crew training
Performing additional job duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution
15-20 years of experience with human spaceflight operations and hardware with a focus on EVA or EVR
Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software suites
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
