Rowan University is seeking an Open-Rank Teaching Professor for its Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching innovative and project-based courses in the Civil & Environmental Engineering curriculum, with a focus on experiential learning and integrating modern tools into the course content.

Teaching innovative and project-based courses in the Civil & Environmental Engineering curriculum

Developing innovative hands-on lab projects or other experiential learning activities using appropriate modern tools

Integrating projects/activities into the course content

Assessing pedagogical approaches and contributing to the scholarship of engineering education

Qualification

PhD in Civil EngineeringStructural EngineeringEnvironmental EngineeringProject-based teachingInnovative teaching methodsCommunication skillsTeam collaboration

Required

Earned at least a PhD degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering

Strong communications skills

Ability to work with multi-disciplinary student and faculty teams

Ability to teach in a project-based setting

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US

Experience with assessment, pedagogy and scholarship of engineering education would be very valuable
