Responsibilities
Complete full bank reconciliations from start to finish
Conduct month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry review and posting, and preliminary financial statement validation
Manage fixed asset accounting
Provide year-end support, including documentation preparation for CPA
Handle 1099 processing
Support biweekly U.S. payroll for 8 employees with front-end tasks
Process Mexico payroll payments for approximately 80 employees
Process Mexico taxes and vendor payments
Load and manage Mexico worksheets for payroll, taxes, and payments
Receive and upload Mexico trial balances and journals into Excel templates
Enter trial balances into GP Dynamics and validate balances, ensuring cross-border accounts are accurate
Qualification
Required
Complete full bank reconciliations from start to finish
Conduct month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry review and posting, and preliminary financial statement validation

Strong understanding of core accounting, including debits and credits, balance sheets versus income statements, and bank reconciliations
Experience in participating in month-end close and account validation
Proficiency in front-end payroll tasks and comfort with payroll outputs from multiple regions
Strong working knowledge of Excel, including large multi-tab workbooks, basic formulas, and pivot tables
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish
Experience in Mexico/international accounting
Background in the manufacturing industry
Familiarity with GP Dynamics, MAS, and Paychex
Degree not required as experience and accounting fundamentals are prioritized
