Civil Structural Project Engineer
Envista Forensics is a forensic consulting firm that relies on scientific principles to investigate failures impacting services and businesses. They are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Project Engineer to investigate failures, analyze building systems, and prepare detailed reports, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and establishing trusted relationships with clients.

Responsibilities
Investigates the origin and cause of failures, damages, or defects in the civil/structural fields within residential, commercial, and industrial sites
Analyzes the failure of building systems, determines the cause of failures, evaluates the quality of construction or reviews design or maintenance procedures
Participates in catastrophe responses such as hurricanes, tornados, floods, wildland fires, and earthquakes
Performs field investigations, and leads multi-party examinations and documentation of damaged property
Research failure modes and code requirements as needed, and prepare recommendations for repair and/or remediation as appropriate
Prepares accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports and letters outlining the cause and origin of the damages to clients
Provides expert testimony in a court of law if required
Manages/works with multi-disciplinary teams on large and complex assignments
Establishes trusted working relationship with clients and interacts socially at mixed engagements with clients
Qualification
Required
Experienced and driven Civil/Structural Engineer
Strong background and interest in Structural and/or Architectural engineering design
Experience in failure analysis
Enjoy a combination of field and office work
Curious mind
Ability to investigate the origin and cause of failures, damages, or defects in the civil/structural fields within residential, commercial, and industrial sites

Ability to provide expert testimony in a court of law if required
Ability to manage/work with multi-disciplinary teams on large and complex assignments
Ability to establish trusted working relationships with clients and interact socially at mixed engagements with clients
