Manager of People & Culture

ABCD & Company is seeking a Manager of People & Culture to strengthen and scale their HR function. This role focuses on building HR infrastructure, leading recruitment efforts, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Chief Growth Officer, design, develop, and implement the foundational structures and processes of the People and Culture department
Establish and standardize policies, procedures, and best practices to support a scalable and efficient HR function
Develop systems for tracking and analyzing HR metrics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement
Establish infrastructure for workforce planning, including metrics, analytics, and reporting tools, to guide strategic HR decisions
Lead recruitment efforts with an emphasis on building diverse talent pipelines and creating an exceptional candidate experience
Develop standardized onboarding procedures that align new hires with company values, culture, and expectations, setting the stage for long-term success
Collaborate with hiring managers to craft job descriptions, establish candidate profiles, interviewing frameworks, and consistent evaluation criteria
Design, develop, and implement an internship program that provides interns with meaningful experiences and opportunities for growth, ensuring alignment with ABCD & Company’s talent development goals
Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment by establishing processes for proactive employee engagement and conflict resolution
Launch initiatives that promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, laying the groundwork for a cohesive employee experience
Create and implement employee engagement programs, including wellness initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition strategies
Design and implement efforts related to employee anniversaries, life milestones, birthdays, and other celebrations
Contribute to the design of a talent management framework that includes succession planning, career development, and skills gap analysis
Enhance and oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and development planning to foster employee growth and accountability
Identify and implement training and development programs tailored to the needs of a growing organization and its employees
Provide coaching and support to managers to effectively lead their teams, addressing performance concerns and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Ensure the People and Culture department adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations while establishing compliant HR processes and systems
Oversee payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, including the coordination of benefits dissemination and processing of employee reimbursements for out-of-pocket expenses through the payroll system
Manage and maintain the HR administration system, ensuring it supports the department's operational needs and aligns with organizational goals
Develop and maintain an employee handbook and other key documents to provide a cohesive understanding of company policies and expectations
Partner with HR and finance teams to streamline HR administrative tasks, including employee records, benefits administration, and system integrations for a seamless employee experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management, organizational development, or a similar role
Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and performance management
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive problem-solving approach and a strategic mindset
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
