Responsibilities
Responsible for the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution, and HVAC equipment on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes
Work involves the technical application of mechanical principles
Implement the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or G.E.D. is the minimal education required for this position
4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial, or facilities operations setting is required
Per contract stipulations, access to SUBASE Kings Bay is limited to United States citizens only. Other work statuses cannot be considered for employment at this specific location
All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire
Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for)
Preferred
government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience preferred
Experience in High Bay areas and work with turning veins experience preferred
Extensive rigging experience preferred
Hoisting Certifications preferred
