Responsibilities
Manage and oversee land surveying projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution
Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
Review and approve survey data, maps, and reports for accuracy and compliance
Supervise and mentor field and office staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and company policies
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
Participating in occasional field work throughout NJ as required to support project execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain one
5+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in project management
Strong computer proficiency is required — candidates must be comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Windows, Excel, and Word
Drafting from point cloud data
AutoCAD Civil 3D (advanced proficiency expected)
Surveying software and related digital tools
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites within the NJ and NY area
Willingness to work overtime when needed
Flexibility to work out of town with occasional overnight stays away from home
