Responsibilities
Develop and implement PLC and HMI programs for manufacturing systems
Design electrical control panels and schematics using CAD software
Select and configure appropriate hardware for control systems
Diagnose and resolve control system failures to minimize downtime
Perform regular testing and calibration of equipment
Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
Integrate new equipment into existing systems
Implement continuous improvement initiatives for system efficiency and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate projects
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, software, and operation manuals
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and company standards
Train technicians and operators on system functionality and troubleshooting
Provide technical support during production runs
Support capital projects, including budget preparation and timeline development
Research and recommend new technologies for process improvement
Assist with energy management and optimization initiatives

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
Expertise in programming and diagnosing issues with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems
Ability to write, test, and debug ladder logic and structured text
Proficient in designing and implementing user interfaces and monitoring systems, ensuring user-friendly operation and accurate data visualization
Capability in creating detailed electrical schematics using tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
Ability to systematically identify and resolve complex technical issues using analytical tools and techniques
Clear and effective communication to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document processes accurately
Skilled at fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in automation and control systems
Understanding of protocols for industrial communication and integration
Familiarity with configuring and maintaining networked devices
Awareness of electrical safety and workplace compliance requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures
Experience managing timelines, resources, and team collaboration to deliver control systems projects
Ability to analyze system performance data to identify improvement opportunities
Preferred
4-6 years in industrial automation and controls
4-6 years with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
4-6 years hands-on experience with HMI design and SCADA systems
