ICONMA is seeking a Project Engineer IV for their client in the energy sector located in Jackson, MI. The role involves building partnerships with business partners, monitoring compliance, and managing engineering projects while providing technical support and mentorship to project teams.

Responsibilities

Build strong partnerships with business partners and deeply understand their business goals
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Other duties as assigned or may be necessary
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
Provide assistance and technical support to project managers and other project participants
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions
Support the Agile project delivery cadence by helping balance team performance with tight deadlines
Develop specifications for the project's needed equipment

Required

Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office, with aptitude for learning new software
Experience coordinating internal and external engineering disciplines
Understanding and experience in contract management
Experience in the management of engineering contracts and engineering deliverables
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program OR Engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program plus a Professional Engineering license (Required)

Preferred

Knowledge of Project Management Information Systems such as Unifier and Document Control tools such as Project Wise is not a requirement but a plus
Knowledge of Project Management principles and skills is a plus
Background and experience in Electric Distribution projects is preferred, though not an absolute requirement
