Responsibilities
Oversees and maintains current inventory for purchased items used to produce Finished Goods, including but not limited to EO’s, components, supplies, accessories, contract packaged items, 10 ml EO’s and raw material ingredients
Researches, analyzes, selects, and purchases assigned items, making insightful buying decisions
Aids in forecasting current and future buying trends
Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers
Assesses financial risks of purchases and communicates changes with management
Works with the scheduler to coordinate production work orders
Processes PO’s for assigned items with regular monitoring
Communication to management on issues, changes and/or late deliveries
Arranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries
Coordinating with inventory & receiving team as required
Be involved in the assessment of quality issues for stock items and escalate discrepancies to suppliers and management
Coordinates & learns sourcing with Purchasing Manager & Product development as assigned
Performs all other duties and projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing
Ability to compile information and make decisions
Ability to work under pressure
Critical Thinking skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Positive attitude
Ability to adapt to a changing and growing environment
At least 2 years of Purchasing Experience, manufacturing environment preferred
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Preferred
MRP experience a plus
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
Logistics experience a plus
