TEMPORARY 2026 Seasonal Employee - St. Vrain State Park.

The Seasonal Employee will work at St. Vrain State Park, assisting visitors with information, sales, and park maintenance duties while ensuring a positive experience for all guests.

Responsibilities
Staff the park entrance station
Provide information and assistance to visitors (distributes maps/ brochures, orients visitors to park facilities and amenities, promotes education programs, educates on State Park regulations, etc.)
Provide information to the boating and non-boating public
Sell parks passes, permits, books, maps, clothing, firewood and other novelties
May sell gift certificates, search and rescue cards, boat registrations, OHV registrations and snowmobile registrations, fishing and hunting licenses at some locations
Will operate a computer Point of Sales system
Answering of telephones and transferring/taking messages
Photo-copying and filing
Collects revenue, completes shift report and balances shift box at end of each shift
May prepare campground reservations forms and documents
May document and report visitor complaints
Cleaning and light maintenance duties of interior and exterior of entrance station and offices. Including litter pick up
May assist with special events or programs within the park
Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including: restrooms, showers, vault toilets, campsites, picnic areas, trails, etc
Operates and performs routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment
Assures quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness
Provides information and assistance to visitors
May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work and transporting materials and supplies
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 16 years of age
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a current motor vehicle report
Willing to work outside during inclement weather
Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday
Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays
Possess good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work with little supervision
Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
May need to undergo criminal background investigation
Successful completion and passing of background screening may be required for placement in this position
This position will perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
Preferred
Knowledge of power tool and hand tools preferred
Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred
First Aid and CPR certifications may be required (Can be covered by CPW)
Previous experience handling money and working with the public is helpful
Substantial comfort and experience with computer, specifically Point of Sales, programs
