Mallis Workshop / TM Design Build
Mallis Workshop is looking for a full-time Project Engineer to join their construction team in Los Angeles, California. This role involves helping to manage complex construction projects in the luxury residential sector, requiring professional collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Collaborate and communicate with the MW project team, MW site team, design team and owner / owner team as required to foster clarity, coordination and quality control from drawing to field execution
Assist buyout process throughout construction. Prepare narratives and work scope packages for subcontractors that accurately interpret the required scope to bid, including detailed drawing analysis and drawing coordination analysis. Issue RFIs as necessary to capture gaps in scope or find clarity on design intent. Work with our field team to capture bid information as required. Set up site walks with subcontractors to discuss work scope as required
Review bids / proposals for accuracy against work scope package and narrative. Coordinate with subcontractors as required to capture proper work scope
Track project budget with management team and controller to ensure buyouts line up with project budget. Research and / or propose solutions to help re-align to budget if required
Assist with estimating new projects to establish project budgets
Assist with review and interpretation of drawings sets across all disciplines and generate construction drawings / details as required in either Revit or AutoCAD format
Receive and implement feedback from clients, team members, subcontractors and vendors as required
Bring concerns, problems and proposed solutions to project teams
Perform work in a timely manner to meet the project schedule
Participate in project meetings and assist with documentation and follow-up on action items
Act as steward of the design throughout the project
Qualification
Required
Experience in managing complex construction projects in the luxury residential sector
Ability to focus on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with project budgets ranging from $5M to $20M
Strong collaboration and communication skills with various stakeholders including clients, architects, and contractors
Ability to assist in the buyout process throughout construction
Experience in preparing narratives and work scope packages for subcontractors
Ability to issue RFIs to capture gaps in scope or find clarity on design intent
Experience in reviewing bids/proposals for accuracy against work scope package and narrative
Ability to track project budget with management team and controller
Experience in assisting with estimating new projects to establish project budgets
Ability to review and interpret drawing sets across all disciplines
Experience in generating construction drawings/details in Revit or AutoCAD format
Ability to receive and implement feedback from clients, team members, subcontractors, and vendors
