Responsibilities
Meet and greet guests as they arrive. Ensure even distribution of tables for each server
Escort guests to tables, hand them menus, wine list, and inform guests of specials
Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant
Verbally communicate to server the table number sat and the number of guests
Beverage table if needed and/or time allows
Clean and display proper menus before, during, and after shift
Assist with all to-go orders
Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned per Manager
Qualification
Required
No prior experience required; hospitality or customer service experience preferred
Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions
Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations
Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred
Maintain a clean and organized environment
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests
Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
Have reliable transportation to and from work
Preferred
hospitality or customer service experience
Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience
