Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Maintain and analyze Supplier Scorecards, tracking On-Time Delivery (OTD), Quality, and NCR responsiveness
Ensure strict adherence to aerospace standards
Validate AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI), ensure PPAP requirements are met, and review statutory/regulatory requirements for compliance
Serve as a key support function for RAM’s Part 145 Repair Station
Document annual training for personnel and support FAA/EASA audits to maintain our repair certifications
Review risk assessments for potential suppliers to assist in award decisions
Perform contract reviews to communicate quality flow-down requirements to Buyers and QA
Drive Six Sigma efforts to lower Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
Assist with formal deviation requests, initiate supplier surveys, and support the internal machine shop in resolving quality issues
Support the development of qualified operators and assist in transitioning inspection duties to the value streams where applicable

Required

Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program is required
Demonstrated experience in Quality Engineering, specifically regarding manufacturing processes and supply chain quality
Strong working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 (First Article), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
Hands-on experience with mechanical inspection and general machining processes
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to negotiate requirements with suppliers and present data to internal management
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and be able to sit and stand constantly to support floor and office activities

Preferred

Familiarity with FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations is a significant plus
