Senior Credit Analyst

Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing the credit risk and quality of transactions in the portfolio
Assist Relationship Manager and Portfolio Manager in underwriting and managing transactions according to the Bank established guidelines and policies
Analyze transactions and create credit memoranda for new loans and modifications
Analyze client financial statements
Manage the renewal process by working with the RM and PM, the client and the credit department
Review legal documentation for accuracy and compliance with approval requirements
Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship follows established EWB credit policy, procedures, and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines
Provide ongoing monitoring of credit/covenant compliance
Perform other administrative duties required for the maintenance of a portfolio of clients
Ensure compliance with EWB regulatory and credit requirements
Maintain knowledge of market conditions
May perform other duties as assigned

Required

Basic understanding of structured finance and securitization
Ability to understand and analyze financial statements
Ability to understand and analyze complex loan structures

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong Excel skills
Bachelor's degree required; Major or Minors in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
At least three years of experience in structured finance/securitization/specialty finance
Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States
