Responsibilities

Greeting, registering, collecting payments from and directing/escorting patients in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures
Is an ambassador of Deaconess, cultivating a nurturing atmosphere of courtesy, compassion, respect, empathy, dignity and optimism

Qualification

Cash handling experienceHealth care revenue cycleInsuranceCompassionEmpathy

Required

Completion of High School or GED is required
Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and percentages

Preferred

College degree preferred
Previous cash handling experience and knowledge of health care revenue cycle preferred
Understanding of insurance is a plus
