Product Support Specialist (Tools) - Ruskin - Grandview, MO

Responsibilities
Serve as a primary technical resource for customers, providing product knowledge, compatibility recommendations, and application support across Ruskin’s air control solutions
Utilize Autodesk Inventor to create detailed 2D and 3D product compatibility layouts verifying fit, form, and function for customer approval
Partner with the Director of Product Management and internal business development teams to support product strategies, customer initiatives, and new solution opportunities
Coordinate customer-specific requirements across engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of orders and configurations
Review technical documents such as engineering drawings, schedules, specifications, and plans to develop accurate cost estimates, submittals, and bill‑of‑material details
Manage customer purchase orders including pricing clarification, change orders, order entry documentation, and resolution of concerns during fabrication
Conduct competitive product and pricing research to support product development and strategic planning
Prepare customer-facing materials including PowerPoint presentations, technical documentation, and product comparison guides
Provide technical support for operation, installation, and maintenance of Ruskin products
Participate in continuous learning through plant visits, training seminars, cross‑functional meetings, and product training
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred. With degree: 1+ year HVAC or related industry experience. Without degree: 3+ years related HVAC, manufacturing, or technical industry experience
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe editing tools
Strong ability to interpret technical documents, product specifications, and engineering drawings
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Mathematical capability to calculate discounts, proportions, and perform basic algebra and geometry
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Up to 20% travel
Preferred
Experience with HVAC airflow products, dampers, louvers, and control systems
Familiarity with BIM tools, CFD concepts, or advanced modeling techniques
Exposure to product management
