Responsibilities
Thoroughly understand all product capabilities, features, and benefits as well as Summit’s market conditions, product warranties and services
Assist customers over the phone or via the internet with orders, quotations and product questions
Negotiate profitable pricing with both customers and suppliers
Proactively follow up on customer orders, challenges, and needs
Resolve customer concerns and issues as efficiently and effectively as possible
Assist other associates as needed
Coordinate and collaborate with outside and inside sales teams to meet goals
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Must have experience with products in the industrial electrical industry
Project management experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Time management – ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Flexibility – the ability to effectively adapt to change
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel
Strong customer service orientation
Exceptional follow up skills
Strong attention to detail and be well organized
Must be self-directed and able to complete tasks with little supervision or guidance
Proven 'do whatever it takes' attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace
Preferred
Experience with an electrical distributor in inside sales or counter sales
Experience in managing projects and customer quotations
Experience in industrial markets (emphasis in EP&C)
