Responsibilities
Responsible for the planning of front office meetings and events, ensuring seamless logistics and an exceptional experience for all participants
Provides support for up to 90 annual development events, working collaboratively with the Development team to advance engagement, stewardship, and fundraising initiatives
Overseeing logistics in the following areas: caterers and vendors, venues, event decor, transportation, contract negotiations, hotel blocks and room reservations, nametags, tent cards, and place cards
Maintain close, positive working relationships with donors and executive staff
Responsible for responding to board members RSVPs and will be expected to attend all events each year
Must be available for occasional travel and work after normal business hours
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
3-5 years' work experience in the event planning field
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communications
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Proficiency in CRM Blackbaud systems
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and numerous external agencies
Knowledge of the fundamentals of fundraising
Knowledge of fundraising needs
Knowledge of the academic, athletic and activity programs of the Military Academy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Availability for occasional travel and work after normal business hours
Ability to maintain close, positive working relationships with donors and executive staff
Responsibility for responding to board members RSVPs
Attendance at all events each year
Living within commuting distance of West Point
