Responsibilities
Provide analytical and consultative support across the full project lifecycle—from business requirements through design, testing, and implementation
Participate in analysis sessions to define and refine program and system requirements
Analyze budgets, schedules, and other program resources; identify shortfalls and recommend corrective actions
Review business, system, and software integration requirements to ensure alignment with program goals
Evaluate alternative solutions and develop recommendations that support project success
Identify, communicate, and help resolve project risks and issues proactively
Research and analyze project and technical documentation to inform decisions and validate requirements
Monitor system testing activities, review test results, and identify discrepancies or project issues
Collaborate with stakeholders across functional and technical teams to ensure requirements are met and outcomes achieved
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 4 years of experience in program analysis, business analysis, or a related field
Demonstrated experience supporting the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system testing, and implementation
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and interpret budgetary and scheduling data
Familiarity with system integration and software testing concepts
Ability to assess risk, resolve issues, and make data-driven recommendations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and accountability
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Candidates must reside in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Northern Virginia (DMV) area and be available to report onsite at the Department of Commerce when given appropriate notice
