Responsibilities

Serves as a lead resource to Enterprise Procurement function regarding vendor contracting in one or more subject matter areas impacting various Centene product lines and programs

Provides legal advice to Centene and its affiliated entities and health plans to define and develop solutions to regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Reviews regulations, industry practices, vendor-sourcing RFPs and other documents affecting such activities and to identify and respond appropriately to regulatory risks or opportunities

Reviews, drafts and negotiates contracts, policies and procedures and related documents

Manages outside counsel and directs, monitors and develops legal strategies in connection with vendor disputes

Directs and conducts training and process improvement activities

Acts as a lead Corporate Counsel on projects or certain matters

Performs other duties as assigned
