The State of Florida is seeking a Records Technician to provide administrative support within the Bureau of Central Services. The role involves managing the intake of licensure applications, processing fees, and ensuring the quality assurance of images and data.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Serves as lead for creating cash batches following daily record storage and processing as set forth in the Division’s Check and Payment Processing Procedures
Ensures fee batches are scanned into Laserfiche, reviewed for correctness and completeness prior to delivery with appropriate documentation to Finance and Accounting
Intake of licensure applications to include updating licensure record information, establishing the type of licensure transaction and designating all fees to appropriate data allocation
Identify applications/checks that must be returned for further processing or redistributed to another unit within the Agency
Prepare notification of reasons for check or application return
Reconcile fees received; follow record storage and processing as set forth in the Division's Check and Payment Processing Procedures
Ensures checks are delivered timely and with appropriate documentation to the cash batch creator for the cash batch to be created
Assists with processing incoming and outgoing mail which includes licensure applications, certification packets, fingerprint cards, and other general correspondence from providers. Stamps date received and distributes according to the Unit mail procedures

Required

One (1) year of professional or nonprofessional experience in customer service, data entry, or administrative work
Ability prioritize workload and comply with Agency requirements
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Ability to plan, organize and complete assignments on time
Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel and other relevant Agency software
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Preferred

Experience working in VERSA and Laserfiche software
