Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Billing team, overseeing personnel, workflow, and performance management
Monitor billing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies
Partner with attorneys and staff to design invoicing that meets client needs
Provide reporting and billing updates to firm leadership
Drive process improvements and implement billing solutions using legal billing applications
Recruit, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a positive team culture
Qualification
Required
3–10 years of management experience in billing at a large law firm
Expertise in complex fee arrangements and billing processes
Strong people management skills: coaching, staff development
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment - personality fit is key
Lead and develop the Billing team, overseeing personnel, workflow, and performance management
Monitor billing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies
Partner with attorneys and staff to design invoicing that meets client needs
Provide reporting and billing updates to firm leadership

Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Experience with Aderant (a plus, not required)
Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
Experience with electronic billing systems a plus
