Responsibilities
Manufacture and assemble parts critical for the rapid prototyping of Space Kinetic’s core technology
Generate CAM packages for manufacturing
Utilize CNC Mills and lathes to produce essential components
Program 3 or 5 or 7 axis in Mastercam
Set up and operate Okuma Multus B300 Millturn, Okuma Genos M560V-5AX, Okuma Genos M660 CNC machines
Build a prototype poised for flight testing, refining and iterating designs to perfection
Qualification
Required
Minimum 8 years as a Machinist, proficient in Mastercam (or similar CAM package)
Extensive experience with 3 axis CNC mills and lathes
Skilled in creating setups for complex parts while maintaining tight tolerances
Aerospace tolerances
Experience training and mentoring machinists
Consistent record of meeting project milestones and driving team success
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative team-oriented approach
Commitment to integrity, honesty, and high standards for quality and precision
Flexible, open to feedback, and receptive to innovative ideas
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident to meet U.S. Government export regulations
Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
Preferred
5-axis CNC mills and Mill-Turn lathes experience
