InternUT Health San Antonio is seeking a Mental Health Therapist Intern to provide clinical and consultative services in the treatment of mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. The role involves counseling, crisis intervention, and coordination with other professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities
Provides counseling and case management services for patients using evidence-based practices
Performs crisis interventions as needed
Coordinates with referring providers and other professionals, family members as needed, to engage patient in care
Provides liaison between clinical team, clinical leadership, and other professionals involved in the patient’s care
Consults and assures continuity of care, conveys assessment findings, and implements therapeutic plans
Prepares reports and other documentation in accordance with good clinical practice and institutional standards
Engage in ongoing professional training and development
Act as a liaison to outside community partners
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge and clinical experience with mental health issues
Demonstrated ability to provide diagnostic assessment
Ability to establish and maintain trust and rapport
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Master's degree or higher in professional counseling or related field is required
At minimum, registered with the Texas Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as an intern
Preferred
QMHP eligible and on track to LPC preferred
