Responsibilities

Create inspection methods to evaluate supplier performance against the design specifications and to support supplier on-site acceptance testing
Support R&D teams to provide DFM assessments, ensuring designs are being looked at from the lens of process stability and inspection
Resolve supplier component-related problems, including yield and failure analyses
Assist suppliers to ensure that selection, development, and validation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling are performed to the meet Edwards’ procedures, ISO 13485 and FDA requirements
Develop and write technical reports/summaries, and validation/verification documents
Document activities in accordance with best engineering practices, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
Provide ongoing quality monitoring and interface with external suppliers on manufacturing line issues to ensure highest quality product is maintained
Train and educate suppliers on industry best practices and requirements to develop and improve their ability to meet medical device manufacturing industry expectations
Facilitate and support component level qualification testing that leads to the approval of components for use in Critical Care products
Conduct supplier assessments to drive selection of robust suppliers and development plans for those suppliers needing performance improvement

Required

Master's degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained
In lieu of a Master's degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained, employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained
Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: CAD (Solidworks); Statistics; Inspection Methods; Manufacturing methods to communicate areas for process improvement and design for manufacturability; Technical writing and validation (IQ, OQ and PQ); Mechanical Testing (MTS); GD&T; FMEA; ANSYS; and MATLAB
