Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, reboot, and service autonomous vehicle systems in the field
Use Android-based and laptop tools to issue diagnostic commands and reset modules
Operate a company vehicle safely to assist and recover autonomous vehicles during daily operations
Follow safety and recovery protocols when securing or transporting vehicles
Record findings, complete system logs, and communicate issues to operations teams
Interact professionally with engineers, field partners, and occasionally the public
Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and ensure equipment is ready for each shift
Operate safely in all field conditions, document issues accurately, and report findings promptly
Qualification
Required
1+ year of experience in IT support, mobile repair, or field technician work
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid Washington, D.C. driver's license with a clean driving record and 2+ years of professional driving experience
Must be able to meet a 35 WPM typing test speed
Comfortable using Android OS, laptops, and mobile diagnostic tools
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Able to work outdoors, drive for extended periods, and travel across the D.C. area
Preferred
Defensive Driving Certificate (issued within the last 12 months)
Previous experience in roadside assistance, rideshare, or customer-facing field roles
Technical training or certifications in automotive technology or IT systems
