People Experience Generalist

TAS Environmental Services, LP is focused on enhancing the People Experience within their organization. The People Experience Generalist will manage both administrative and strategic HR functions, including staffing, training, and employee benefits management.

Responsibilities

Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
Responsible for onboarding new employees including equipment ordering and ensuring the completion of onboarding paperwork
Records/tracks company issued equipment to employees by utilizing the tracking tool available in the HRIS system
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, and vacation/sick pay
Maintains accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves and personal information
Completes employment verification requests (Non-DOT)
Assists the PX Management team with conducting New Hire Orientation sessions
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
Ability to enter information quickly and accurately, double checking work to ensure mistakes are avoided
Ability to effectively build, maintain, and navigate interactions with others with clear and concise communications
Ability to prioritize and meet the needs of customers, both internal and external
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve challenges effectively
Ability to translate plans and strategies into tangible results, getting things done effectively and efficiently
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively to achieve goals within a given deadline

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience partnering with safety teams
