Responsibilities

Natural resources management, recreation, visitor assistance, contract administration, environmental stewardship, public outreach, and interpretive services
Serving as the Team Leader for Interpretive Services and Outreach Program
Serving as the point of contact for key partnerships in collaboration with USACE and Lake Red Rock
Issuing press releases, media coordination and social media outreach to inform and engage the public
Managing and oversight of the Visitor Center operations and exhibits
Providing support in flood risk management, recreation, and environmental stewardship missions

Required

A bachelor's degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position
To qualify for the GS-09 level, the applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal service, which includes: 1) Assisting in developing natural resource conservation, recreation, and/or environmental plans; 2) Providing project information to local, state, and Federal agencies and/or the visiting public; 3) Assisting with programs designed to protect and further enhance fish, wildlife, vegetative and/or water resources
To qualify for the GS-11 level, the applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service, which includes: 1) Managing and developing natural resource conservation, recreation, and/or environmental plans; 2) Providing project information to local, state, and Federal agencies and/or the visiting public; 3) Implementing programs designed to protect and further enhance fish, wildlife, vegetative and/or water resources

This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time
This position requires that the incumbent possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possession to operate vehicles
Boat License: Upon assignment, you may be required to obtain and maintain a Corps of Engineers boat certification/license
Pesticide/Herbicide License: You may be required to obtain and maintain a valid state pesticide/herbicide applicator's license
May be required to complete training to become part of prescribed burn team
Drug Testing: This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Medical Examination: You may be required to complete a medical examination prior to assignment
This position requires the wearing of a uniform
Ability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
Must possess or able to acquire Title 36 Citation Authority within one year
