Industrial Hygienist
SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. The Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for managing the Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics Programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing solutions to mitigate risks in the workplace.

Responsibilities
Serve as the site’s subject matter expert for the industrial hygiene program
Serve as the site’s subject matter expert for the ergonomic program
Conduct on-site reviews of work processes and layouts to identify ergonomic stressors, develop common sense solutions, and follow through on implementation of solutions
Develop and implement solutions that resolve industrial hygiene and ergonomic risks
Lead root cause investigations into significant events within the field of expertise
Develop, implement, and improve upon industrial hygiene programs including but not limited to:
Industrial and office ergonomics
Respiratory protection
Chemical hygiene
Exposure control planning
Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other applicable regulatory agencies
Collaborate with EHS team members to complete job hazard assessments and provide subject matter expertise consultative support for industrial hygiene and ergonomic hazards
Conduct on-site reviews of industrial hygiene processes with a focus on hazard identification and control
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of professional experience in the field of industrial hygiene with an emphasis on ergonomics
Preferred
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Bachelor's degree in an industrial hygiene discipline (e.g. biology, chemistry, human factors)
Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE)
Extensive knowledge of both industrial hygiene and ergonomic job functions highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to research and apply engineering solutions to industrial hygiene and ergonomic risks
Experience interpreting, applying and documenting federal, state and local safety and health regulations
Experience in the space launch industry including manufacturing, test, and launch
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Strong organizational and communication skills
