Responsibilities

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of system configurations, network diagrams, cabling, testing, changes made, and resolution steps for survey report
Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support project related tasks and initiatives
Compliance and Standards: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience in low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, or a related field
Strong understanding of telecommunications principles, equipment, and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, VoIP, SIP)
Familiarity with cabling standards and network configurations is essential
Strong knowledge of PBX systems (e.g., Avaya, Cisco, Mitel), VoIP protocols (SIP, TCP/IP), and network fundamentals (LAN/WAN)
Use specialized testing equipment, including cable analyzers and continuity testers, to verify cable functionality
Strong understanding of different cable types, telecommunications protocols, network topology, and electrical safety standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Active Secret clearance required
The role may require physical exertion, including climbing ladders or towers, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined or awkward spaces
This position will require 85% travel

Preferred

Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, telecommunications, or IT
Industry certifications like CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or manufacturer-specific certifications (Avaya, Mitel, etc.)
