Responsibilities

Responsible for the architecture and design of complex Unix and Kubernetes computing environments, both on-prem and Cloud/AWS configurations
Focus is on AIX/RHEL Administration, Kubernetes, virtualization technologies, IBM & EMC hardware and Disaster Recovery processes
Collaborate closely with developers and other technology personnel to develop, migrate and manage services in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment, and in physical data centers

Required

Proven ability to create, configure, and manage Enterprise Linux based systems
Strong Kubernetes implementation and management skills
Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot Manifest Files
Ability to develop, read, and update Helm Charts
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling
Experience using Git

Preferred

Good understanding of network technologies, e.g., load balancing, service APIs, DNS, gateways, proxies, firewalls, …
Ability to review and troubleshoot Java VM / Tomcat errors and configuration options
Understanding of PostgreSQL deployment and configuration
Knowledge of Gradle or Maven build processes
Experience deploying containerized applications in a public cloud provider (AWS EKS / ECS, Azure ACI / AKS)
