Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert on insurance agency management systems, focusing on Applied EPIC and Vertafore AMS360
Analyze, design, and support integrations between AMS platforms and core insurance systems (policy, rating, underwriting)
Collaborate with product, underwriting, IT, and agency stakeholders to ensure smooth Quote, Bind, and Issue workflows
Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into functional specifications
Provide support and troubleshooting for AMS-related issues and enhancements
Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training
Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for improvements and innovation in AMS use and integration
Qualification
Required
Minimum 8 years of experience in the insurance industry with a strong focus on AMS platforms
SME with hands-on experience with Applied EPIC and Vertafore AMS with data set knowledge is mandatory
In-depth understanding of Quote, Bind, and Issue workflows in a P&C insurance environment
Experience with data flow between AMS and carrier systems
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams
8 years of hands-on experience in insurance ams related document and customer relationship building
Preferred
Experience with API integrations between AMS and core systems
Familiarity with ACORD standards and insurance data models
Prior experience in system implementation or migration projects
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail in identifying data anomalies and root causes
Effective communication skills to collaborate with QA, data engineers, product owners, and business analysts
