Senior Lead Quality Engineer

The Senior Lead Quality Engineer is responsible for regional management in the Retail and Consumer Products Quality organization, leading projects and initiatives to implement the RCP Quality System and drive process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Fulfill local / regional department or business objectives; provides functional leadership to local or regional department staff for specific areas of Quality Engineering responsibilities
Fulfill local and/or regional department and/or enterprise-wide business objectives, working independently, provides leadership for development and deployment of assigned business initiatives/functions in a supporting role to the Sr. Quality Engineering Manager and Quality Engineering Manager
Oversee and support local / RCP-wide accreditations, leads training development and facilitation, standards interpretations for various scheme operated in the region, consulting on issues
Plans and conducts internal quality audits; supports and hosts business-related audits including supporting external assessments
Support the maintenance of regional Quality Management Systems; Performs other duties as needed to ensure successful implementation of the Quality Management System
Fulfill regional performance objectives, manages operational process improvement through metrics, problem identification, root cause analysis and developing and implementing corrective action
Fulfill regional or enterprise-wide objectives, takes leadership and ownership of driving continuous improvement throughout the organization, ensuring successful design and implementation of the metrics, quality plans, Statistical Process Controls
Support of Ethics and Compliance, complaints and process deviations of the organization leads investigations and ensures any Corrective and/or preventive actions are handled per the Investigation Process
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Demonstrated working knowledge of Project Management, Process Improvement / Lean Sigma Principles, Audit and CAPA Tools and Techniques, Management Systems as well as Accreditation / Regulatory requirements
Fulfill local / regional department or business objectives; provides functional leadership to local or regional department staff for specific areas of Quality Engineering responsibilities

Preferred

University degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, or related field plus generally ten to twelve years of directly related experience in quality engineering some of which includes at least two years of quality leadership responsibilities
Demonstrated working knowledge of quality systems principles including quality and business excellence models (e.g., ISO 9001, 17025, 17065, Lean Sigma, Baldrige / Shingo)
Position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills; distinctive ability to interact with all levels of leadership and accreditors/auditors
Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate skillfully in complex situations with both internal and external groups in order to achieve desired outcomes without damaging relationships
Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and plan/implement corrective action and preventive actions that impact the enterprise
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, to interact with all levels of the organization, and to present and facilitate discussions of assessment results, process improvements, and KPIs
Detailed knowledge of process mapping and process redesign at an enterprise level
Detailed working knowledge of auditing and CAPA principles and techniques
