Responsibilities

Assist the Resident Engineer in daily on-site construction oversight of wastewater treatment, pumping, piping, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems
Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and environmental regulations
Review and track submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and field directives
Coordinate construction activities with plant operations to minimize service disruptions
Observe and document construction progress; prepare daily reports, logs, and progress summaries
Verify quantities for payment applications and assist with cost tracking
Participate in inspections, testing, start-up, and commissioning process equipment and systems
Support resolution of field issues, constructability challenges, and design clarifications
Enforce site safety requirements and participate in safety meetings

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of construction or inspection experience on wastewater, water, or heavy civil projects
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts
Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills
Proficiency with construction documentation software and MS Office

Preferred

Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes, facilities, or infrastructure strongly preferred
PE license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
