Paint Project Engineer

Responsibilities
Lead cross-fun0ctional projects supporting new model introductions and equipment installations or improvements
Develop project scope, technical specifications, and validation plans for tooling, automation, and manufacturing systems
Track and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables using structured problem-solving and clear communication
Conduct equipment investigations and root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions
Partner with Production Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality, and OEM suppliers
Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and change management activities
Ensure strong safety compliance throughout all project phases
Support production trials and report readiness status using established standards and methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline)
2–3 years of engineering or project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated success managing technical projects with multiple stakeholders
Strong problem-solving mindset using structured methodologies (PDCA, 5-Why, DMAIC preferred)
Ability to interpret and clearly communicate technical requirements
Leading cross-functional manufacturing or engineering projects
Managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Working with automated manufacturing systems and industrial equipment
Supporting production trials and readiness reviews

Experience with equipment commissioning and vendor buy-off activities
Exposure to North XX safety standards and engineering specifications
Working knowledge of CATIA or other 3D modeling software
PMP or related engineering certification
