Duty assignments vary and include, but are not limited to front office and back office functions
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED required
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required
In lieu of formal education program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required
One (1) year of experience in a medical office setting is required with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program
BLS required
Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required
