2+ years expDow Jones is seeking a creative and entrepreneurial Audio Producer who is well versed in business news, markets, and finance to produce a weekly financial news podcast from Barron’s and support audio needs across the department. The ideal candidate will work with the show host to select topics, structure episodes, and produce engaging audio content.

Responsibilities
Produce full episodes from start to finish, including researching, pitching ideas to the host, booking guests, producing host reads and narration, fact checking, cutting tape, finding archival news clips, assembling mixes, and scoring and finishing episodes
Schedule recordings with podcast host
Record and direct host recordings both remotely and in studio
Coach reporters and editors without audio experience on presenting for audio
Book and schedule interviews with guests, conduct pre-interviews and interviews as needed
Maintain the show production schedule, including scheduling meetings, interviews and recording sessions
Produce and edit video podcasts and edit video clips from long form episodes
Assist with production needs across other podcasts as needed
Help with growing audiences and promotion efforts across audio
Qualification
Required
2-4 years of experience as an Audio Producer
The ability and flexibility to work in a fast paced, changing environment
Strong writing skills and experience in building podcast episodes from start to finish
Experience working with on air hosts
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, problem solve, and execute against deadlines
Professional-level understanding of podcast and video editing tools such as Adobe Audition or Pro Tools, Descript and Premiere
Interest and knowledge in business, finance, market and economics
