Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on support for laboratory testing and analysis of materials and components used in rotating electrical generators (including sample preparation, test equipment operation, etc.)
Communicate test results, observations, and insights to Materials Engineering team and various stakeholders
Interface with customers as needed regarding material testing procedures and test results
Collaborate with Materials Engineering team to support ongoing engineering projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Physics, or a closely related discipline with a strong focus on materials
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred; candidates with more experience may be considered for advanced roles and vice versa
Demonstrated interest in materials applications for power generation equipment, particularly rotating electric machinery (generators or motors)
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with low levels of supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
Flexibility to work overtime or off-shift hours to support critical projects in both office and factory settings
Good hand-skills and expertise in the use of hand tools
