Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable APIs using AWS API Gateway
Integrate APIs with backend services, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and third-party applications
Utilize core AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Step Functions, DynamoDB, EKS for data processing, storage, and orchestration
Implement security best practices, including OAuth 2.0, JWT authentication, authorization, and data validation
Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage deployments using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CDK) ensuring high availability and resilience
Monitor API performance using AWS CloudWatch, identify bottlenecks, and optimize for scalability
Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI for seamless integration
Act as a senior team member by conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle within Agile/SAFe methodology
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on software programming experience
Minimum 5 years in backend and API development
Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, Java, or C
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with API Gateway, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EKS, SNS
Expertise in REST and GraphQL architectural styles, versioning, and error handling
Solid understanding of Agile practices and cross-functional team collaboration
Strong analytical and debugging skills to resolve complex technical issues
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Preferred
Experience with AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging frameworks
