Cass Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst to identify clinical practice workflow and process issues. The role involves providing leadership and guidance to optimize system and process requirements to enhance clinician performance and utilization, as well as managing nursing informatics projects.

Responsibilities

Ensures the completion and effectiveness of assessing, planning, implementation, evaluation, and optimization of nursing informatics projects

Collaborates with clinical department directors/managers, physicians, and other key staff in overall project evaluation

Supervises optimization projects for units

Works closely with project leaders to identify project objectives, expected outcomes, resource requirements, and evaluation strategies. Work with the team to implement projects

Contributes to the design and conduct of evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities related to the care of patients and their families

Provides program management for nursing informatics projects

Works to establish policies and practices for the IT team to support the delivery and maintenance of health information technology

Assesses unit and department technology needs

Helps coordinate training to support new software implementations

Provides ongoing end-user education and develops recommended policies and procedures

Works with appropriate department teams to confirm staff involvement and competency for projects

Provides support to nursing staff for relevant technologies through regular clinical rounds

Provides support for daily system operations for relevant technologies

Facilitates a safe practice environment for interdisciplinary team members to use technology

Establish collaborative relationships with other members of the healthcare team

Evaluate current interventions and emerging technologies to ensure implementation strategies that promote viable data, cost, safety, and quality outcomes

Provide a nursing perspective and articulate nursing needs related to the integration of technology in patient care delivery

Evaluates necessary changes in nursing clinical practice and workflow as related to technology, including new functionality

Analyzes processes and implements necessary process improvements related to technology

Evaluates practice setting suitability for use of technology with the goal of ultimately achieving one standard of care

Evaluates outcomes of technology use including but not limited to feedback from users and impact on improved care
