Responsibilities

Provide tax compliance and/or advisory services to tax-exempt organizations
Work as part of a dedicated team of experienced exempt organization professionals
Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
Guide teams of professionals working on client projects
Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billings, collections, and project budgets
Lead, participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm

Qualification

Required

Minimum five years of recent focused exempt organization experience in an accounting firm, organization, and/or law firm
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
Licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM or completion of one of the following advanced degrees or professional designations: PHD, DBA, MBA, MDS, MEC, MED, MTX, MIE, MPOD, MPH, MHA, MPAD, MIR, MNPM, MPP, MIAFF, CSA, ARMC, CFA, CFE, CFF, CGFM, CHC, CIA, CMA, CNPM, FRM or CMI, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
Strong knowledge of tax law preferred
Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information
