Grand Blanc Community Schools is dedicated to excellence in education and fostering a supportive environment for students and staff. They are seeking a Success Program Coordinator to facilitate meetings, monitor student progress, and assist at-risk students and their families in achieving success.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Establish and facilitate team meetings for at-risk students as necessary

Monitor progress of Success Program students and meet with students on a weekly basis or as needed

Communicate Success Program student progress to the home and appropriate school personnel via letters, email and telephone calls

Use data tracking system to monitor behavior and attendance each week

Assist families with agency involvement as necessary

Oversee student lunch periods & supervise lunch

The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District

Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Previous work experience with at-risk school aged children

Ability to work with at-risk students and their families

Knowledge of community and county agencies and services available to individuals and families

Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position

Ability to work with school and county agency professionals

Ability to facilitate meetings with parents, students, teachers, counselors, and agency professionals

Ability to assist students and parents in the pursuit of success

Be open to continuous change

Knowledge of school policy and procedures governing academics, attendance, and behavior

Ability to facilitate student group sessions

Be an excellent communicator with students, parents and staff

Preferred

Experience as a child counselor, psychologist, behavioral specialist
