Responsibilities

Design and analysis of flowpath and airfoils of axial turbines using 1D, 2D and 3D approaches

Turbine component design: 3D flow analysis and aerodynamic optimization of airfoils. Engage in inter-disciplinary teams for multi-disciplinary analysis and optimization of turbine components

Development and implementation of aerodynamic design tools and methods

Assessment and evaluation of test and field measurements

Lead of external and internal research and development programs including management of outsourcing specific tasks

Ability to drive a team through tough technical challenges

Support of manufacturing and component development

Required

University degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar

Several years of experience in turbine aerodynamic design and analysis, with a strong background in thermodynamics or fluid mechanics

Significant design/analysis experience with components for turbo-machinery applications or similar applications

Advanced knowledge of computational methods, i.e. numerical and optimization methods and coding experience with e.g. python to automize your workflows and process your data

Must have exceptional inter-personal skills and enjoy working with colleagues from different organizations and cultural background

Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented and have an innovative thinking mindset

Business fluent in English (German would be beneficial)
