The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) is dedicated to accounting for missing personnel from past conflicts. The Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist will manage the Agency's Information Assurance program and oversee compliance with Risk Management Framework standards.

Responsibilities

Performs duties and functions of a first level supervisor and coordinator where supervisory and managerial abilities are required to organize and coordinate the work of a large, high-level technical and professional staff and to gain cooperation and compliance from other managers and supervisors outside the department and organization
Incumbent is responsible for the management and oversight of the Agency's Information Assurance (IA) program
Oversees the local development and implementation of processes that ensure DoW Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance
Provides guidance on accreditations procedures and appropriate computer and network security measures
Evaluates the need for change in department standards, policies or procedures

U.S. Citizenship is required
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Required to participate in the direct deposit program
This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing
This position is subject to the DoD Priority Placement Program
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication by a determining authority
The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and/or overtime
This position may require up to 20% occasional travel away from your normal duty station for official business on military or commercial aircraft
A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment
This position includes IA work as a paramount duty requirement
Incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required Foundational Qualification Option (FQO) for certification/recertification per Cyberspace Workforce Roles
This position requires the incumbent to hold Foundational Qualification Option personnel certification under DoD 8140.01-M (Cyberspace Foundational Options)
You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to: (1) Providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management, (2) Formulating IA policy, guidance, and establishes appropriate organization wide IA management structure and IA business processes, procedures and practices, (3) Providing guidance and support for the protection of IT systems, workstations, Enterprise Network and Cloud Infrastructure, and (4) Managing the implementation, publication, and dissemination of information processing planning and/or procedural standards to the user community
