Automotive Assistant Sales Manager
Ken Garff Automotive Group is a unique dealership group that prides itself on doing things differently. They are seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to direct sales activities, manage vehicle sales processes, and ensure customer satisfaction while achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities
Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new vehicle sales
Forecast goals and objectives for the department. Prepare and administer an annual operating budget to meet goals and objectives
Work closely with other department managers to ensure cooperation and teamwork throughout the dealership
Attend and participate in weekly manager meetings
Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all vehicle sales employees
Assist in directing and scheduling the activities of all department employees
Guide all salespeople in setting their objectives on a short and long range basis
Participates in daily one-on-one planning meeting with each sales person to review current goals, performance, and work plan
Assists in developing and organizing a training schedule, as directed by the GSM, to ensure that each sales person receives sales training and/or role playing sessions daily. Training duties will be divided between managers
Assist salespeople with closing deals when necessary. Ensure that every customer talks to a manager before leaving the dealership when possible
Monitor payroll records. Assist Sales people in recognizing opportunities for improving their personal income
Assist in developing programs of improvement for those salespeople who are failing to reach their objectives
Recommend for dismissal any sales person failing to meet company standards
Follow company guidelines regarding customer negotiations and desking procedures
Recommend to the GSM or GM the new car inventory to be carried
Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the use of a prospecting program
Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the use of a customer and prospect follow-up program. Ensure that the program is being followed and be involved by contacting customers and prospects according to the program guidelines
Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S
Have a valid driver license and professional appearance
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Excellent communication and managerial skills
Demonstrate self-assurance, self-confidence and a strong desire to work in a demanding but rewarding atmosphere
Has the ability to create team players and has a strong aptitude for logical thinking, including detailed problem solving skills
Valid in-state driver's license required
Inventory Control Software, internet, Microsoft Office Products
Preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Merchandise or inventory management experience, preferably in automotive retail or automotive related industry
