Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine

Qualification
Required
High school or equivalent
Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), OR Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologist (AMT), OR Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from the National Center for Competency testing (NCCT), OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Registry of Medical Assistants, OR Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), OR Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) from the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card
Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period
Preferred
Six (6) months medical assistant experience
Knowledge of Classification Procedural Terminology (CPT) and/or International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) coding
Experience with electronic medical records
