Responsibilities
Manage and automate RKE2-based Kubernetes clusters with Rancher
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible
Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking, routing, VLAN, VIP, and firewall issues
Integrate Kubernetes clusters with the observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki)
Ensure production environments meet strict security and compliance standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and platform improvements
Qualification
Required
5 years proven expertise in Kubernetes administration (RKE2/Rancher experience strongly preferred)
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation
Strong background in networking across complex, multi-datacenter environments
Familiarity with VMware infrastructure (vSphere/ESXi)
Experience operating in regulated environments (FIPS, PCI, or similar)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on scalability and reliability
Preferred
Experience with GitOps tooling (e.g., Argo CD, Flux)
Familiarity with container security tools (e.g., Falco, Trivy, Aqua)
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go)
Knowledge of service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
Background in high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Kubernetes
