Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, and maintain boilers, chillers, and cooling tower equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance
Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on hydromechanical systems, including pumps, valves, gauges, burners, compressors, and evaporators
Troubleshoot malfunctions with mechanical and control systems (pneumatic and electrical)
Inspect and clean equipment regularly to prevent accidents and ensure reliability
Monitor performance data (fuel usage, system pressures, operating efficiency) and maintain accurate records
Perform small repairs (leaks, chiller tube cleaning, component replacement) and coordinate larger repairs with contractors
Oversee contractor work to ensure quality, compliance, and mission readiness
Install new or replacement equipment as needed
May be required to respond after hours for mission-critical work
Other duties as assigned

Required

Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship
4+ years of experience as a Boiler, Chiller, or Hydromechanical Technician
High School diploma or GED
U.S. Citizenship required with valid driver's license
Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (e.g., email, internet, Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel). Some positions may require advanced computer proficiency depending on program needs

EPA Universal Certification
Prior experience as both a Boiler Technician and a Chiller Technician
